Should you use this website to judge whether I'm the writer you need for your online project? Good question. Let's see if I can answer it. (Or scroll down for links to work.)

Let me start by acknowledging that you are probably not impressed by the design of this site. I did it myself, and I am clearly not a designer. But I don't mind -- I'm not trying to sell you on my design skills. I'm just hoping to stay off webpagesthatsuck.com.

More importantly, I'm trying to start a conversation about what effective online communication should be, in a way that might make you want to work with me. If you're reading this, I'm off to a good start.

Sadly, too many developers -- even hip, smart, web-savvy people who should know better -- are still creating websites that don't do much more than a print brochure. That's a shame, because online media gives you unique opportunities to engage in a dialog that builds customer communities and relationships.
